ARC Raiders Update 2.2 Ends PvE Beta and Adds Wreck Set
Update 2.2 adds the Wreck set and closes the PvE beta
ARC Raiders update 2.2, titled "Raiders," was released on October 20, 2026, according to the published coverage. The patch adds the Wreck set and marks the end of beta testing for the PvE toggle. The development team is now collecting player feedback to measure how the option changes the game's usual PvPvE encounters.
Some players will receive a dedicated PvE questionnaire from October 22. The responses are intended to help the team decide what should be adjusted as the mode changes the balance between cooperation and fighting other players. No final decision on the PvE feature's next development steps was reported.
Movement and audio changes target common combat friction
Update 2.2 improves the grappling hook and makes transitions during climbing smoother. It also fixes several weapon animation problems, which should make movement and combat presentation more consistent during raids.
The patch reworks engine sounds and mortar shots after those effects could sound excessively loud at long distances. These audio changes arrive alongside fixes covering animations, maps, quests, the interface, and the achievement system, giving the update a wider scope than the PvE test alone.
Hydra attacks more effectively after its behavior fixes
Several ARC machines now aim more accurately at players who are sliding. The Hydra can distribute its attacks between targets more effectively and is better at hitting nearby enemies. Its base damage has also been increased to compensate for fixes to its weapon behavior.
The changes may make close-range encounters with the Hydra more dangerous even as its targeting becomes more controlled. The update does not provide a new damage figure, so players cannot compare the old and new values numerically from the published details.
Memory, Frigate stability, and Xbox issues remain part of the patch picture
The developers optimized memory usage and improved Frigate stability, while also fixing problems on several maps. These changes accompany additional corrections to quests and quest tracking, but some tracking errors are still unresolved.
Separate Xbox crashes also remain among the known problems after update 2.2. Players on that platform may therefore encounter issues that the patch has not fully addressed, even with the broader stability work included in the release.
PvE feedback now matters more than the beta label
For players choosing how to approach ARC Raiders, the PvE toggle is no longer only a test feature: the team is evaluating its effect on PvPvE after beta testing ended, with some survey responses arriving on October 22. That makes the early post-update experience especially relevant to the mode's future direction.
